Luxury Málaga Food and Wine Tour

Málaga & The Axarquía

This tour will take you away from the crowds and traffic of the Costa del Sol up into the mountains of the Axarquía. Your luxury villa has stunning views of the surrounding countryside from its outdoor terraces and private pool. The wonderful staff at the villa will take care of whatever you need, including meals and cooking classes with the private chef. When you’re not lounging by the pool or enjoying local wine in the shade, head into the surrounding countryside to discover the white villages dotting the Axarquía. Nearby Málaga offers a wealth of options, from tapas bars and museums to Michelin star restaurants, and Granada’s Alhambra and Albaicín World Heritage Sites will transport you back in time.

Málaga Wine

The Axarquía produces some of the best wines in Málaga, within the Málaga and Sierras de Málaga DOs. Almost all of the production is white, from Moscatel and Romé grapes. Traditionally much of the wine here has been sweet, but high-quality, mineral dry whites are becoming more important. The vineyards of the Axarquía lie on steep slopes, and many wineries still harvest by hand and using artisan methods.
