One Day Cooking Classes

Join us for one-day cooking classes. Spend an day or two cooking with a Spanish chef.

Our cooking classes are different in two ways: they are entirely private and the chefs are Spaniards. Each class is custom designed for you based on what you would like to cook. You are free to focus on a particular ingredient or families of ingredients, say tuna or shellfish, specific dishes, or you can have the chef design the class for you. The classes are perfect for the novice and experienced professional alike.

Cooking with Spanish Chefs

You will start your day touring the market and buying ingredients with the chef. The class begins and ends with wine, and in between, you will learn to prepare an authentic three-course meal. The menu varies across the seasons; it can be set by the chef or based upon your requests.

In Sevilla your meal might include it could include variations on gazpacho such as Raspberry gazpacho with prawns and White gazpacho with grapes, as well as gambas or calamares al jerez (shrimp or squid with Jerez wine). On the Costa Brava you will likely turn your attention to fish and seafood dishes such as suquet (a Catalan Bouillabaisse), mar i muntanya (a seafood and landfood stew) or Bacallà amb samfaina (salt cod with samfaina sauce). In San Sebastián or Bilbao, in the Basque Country, learn to make Basque specialties such as bacalao al pil-pil (salt cod in olive oil emulsion) or marmitako (potato and tuna stew).

It’s also possible to arrange a session devoted entirely to Spanish rice dishes, seafood or fish, rabbit or game dishes or tapas. Request your favorite ingredients and we will build a class around them.

Tapas Tours

We have experienced insider guides available for private tapas tours in Sevilla, Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián and Bilbao. The tapas tours last approximately 3 hours, and take in 3 or 4 tapas bars, each with its own specialty. Please call us for more information.
