Culinary Travel in Spain
GranTurismo (2 people, 12 months, 24 destinations) spent time recently in Barcelona, and ate alot. Then they wrote reviews of restaurants and tapas bars/cafés. Many of the places on their lists are on the Vancouver Sun’s list (previous post) and on our personal list.

Catalan Cooking in the Empordà

We LOVED La Placa. Everything-the hotel and restaurant-was top notch. We adored our tasting menu dinner (with fantastic wine) on the terrace. Nothing short of phenomenal! Each dish was more delicious than the next! Even the dessert was fantastic. I know I will be craving another meal from Vincenç. And speaking of Vincenç, he is an amazing chef and taught us some basic Catalan cooking that I will try to replicate at home. We learned a lot from him.
